1. Eligibility
The AMADION – Amadeus International Piano Awards is open to piano students from all countries and nations. The eligibility requirements for participation are that applicants must be between 18 and 32 years old at the time of application, and they must be enrolled as students at a music university, conservatory, academy, or other higher education institution. Regardless of whether they are pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral, or Diploma degree.
2. Application process
To participate in the selection process, the following documents must be submitted:
• Completed online application form
• Link to YouTube, Vimeo or similar video recording
• Portrait photo (uploaded with the application form)
Applicants must submit a videolink of one piece for the audition. The quality of the recording does not need to be professional but should fairly represent the applicant’s abilities. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the submitted material is complete. Applications for one or more categories are allowed. No changes to the repertoire are permitted after submission.
3. Processing fee
The processing fee of EUR 100 must be submitted after receiving the invitation to the qualification round, unless the applicant holds a valid voucher. The relevant payment information can be found in the application form. The processing fee is non-refundable.
4. Repertoire requirements
Detailed information regarding the requirements can be found in the respective categories. Selecting a specific category or composer will provide access to all necessary details, including the application form.
5. Competition results announcement
The results will be announced on the date specified on the website. Announcements will also be made via social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
6. Applicant indemnification
By participating in the selection process or nomination ceremony, applicants agree that the organizer is not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred as a result of participation or acceptance of a prize. This includes, but is not limited to, personal injury, property damage, or any other form of loss. Applicants further agree to indemnify and hold the organizer harmless from any third-party claims related to the competition.
7. Limitation of liability
The organizer assumes no responsibility for lost, late, illegible, falsified, damaged, misdirected, or incomplete applications. No liability is assumed for technical failures that may affect the transmission of audition materials, including but not limited to internet connectivity issues, software errors, or hardware malfunctions. The organizer is not responsible for any damages to computers or technical devices of applicants resulting from participation in the competition or downloading materials.
8. Participant conduct
By participating in the competition, all applicants agree to abide by the established rules. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify applicants who violate the rules, attempt to manipulate the competition, or behave unsportsmanlike or disruptively. Any attempt to manipulate or damage the website or the competition may result in legal consequences. Applicants must conduct themselves appropriately during the nomination ceremony and adhere to all applicable rules. The organizer reserves the right to remove any disruptive individuals from the event and withdraw their nomination.
9. Privacy and use of personal information
In addition to the information provided below, the competition’s privacy policy, published on the official website, applies. By participating in the competition, applicants agree that their personal data (name, address, email) may be used for the administration and processing of the competition. Additionally, the data may be used for promotional purposes related to the competition, where legally permitted.
10. Intellectual property
All trademarks, logos, designs, promotional materials, and other content on the organizer’s official website are protected by copyright. Unauthorized use or reproduction without express permission is prohibited. All applicants retain ownership of their submitted musical works. The organizer does not acquire any rights to the submitted pieces.
11. Competition termination
The organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the competition or any part thereof at any time without prior notice. This may occur due to various reasons, including technical issues or unforeseen circumstances.
12. Legal provisions
This competition is subject to applicable laws and regulations. Changes to the rules may be made at any time to comply with legal requirements. Any disputes related to the competition shall be governed by the laws of Austria. If any provision of the rules is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
13. Language discrepancy
In the event of any inconsistency between different language versions of these rules, the official version shall prevail.
